| No 29 is still at Ian Riley's workshops in Bury
undergoing a partial bottom end overhaul where we have been waiting for the delivery of a new trailing axel.
The good news is that the heat treatment of the axel is now
complete and it has been delivered to Bury. Number 29 was 100 years old in 2004 (she was delivered to the Lambton railway on 18th March 1904). If all goes to plan 29 should run in her 100th year during the santa specials in December. As soon as we have a date for her return to steam we will publish it here. |
